The world is in a very strange place right now. But maybe it’s a time to work on our own projects, spend time with family, or just rest and slow down?

Whether you’re working from home or unfortunately not working at all, it seems like we’ve all got some extra time on our hands. As tempting as it is to watch Netflix all day (speaking from experience 😳), what are some ways that we can stay productive when it comes to our businesses? Here are 6 things you can do for your business right now!

1) Plan – Is your business just an idea?

Every great project starts as an idea. Have you been putting off your project because you don’t have the time? Now is the time to put on your thinking cap and PLAN. Maybe you already have an idea for an online business, then what’s your next step? Start with these 3 tasks:

2) Get your business online – Do you have social media channels?

Setting up social media profiles for your business won’t guarantee sales, but it is the best way to be present online. Social media channels are a great way to connect with your clients and build a relationship (which can then lead to sales 💸).

3) Create content in bulk – Get a head start on your social media content.

Planning, creating, and scheduling social media content takes time! And to be honest, it’s not always super fun. Taking a day to plan a month’s worth of content is crazy efficient, and that’s one less thing for you to remember.

4) Build that website you know you need

While we’d love to help you build your website, we also understand that sometimes doing it yourself is the best financial option for the time being. This is the perfect time to learn an online web builder (like SquareSpace, Wix, etc.) and get your site up. We’ll still be here when you need a refresh or upgrade in the near future!

5) Learn – Check out some free online courses

Why not learn a few new skills? Google Digital Garage offers great beginner online courses for new business owners. SkillShare is another tool with free classes in design, marketing, and entrepreneurship.

6) Rest – Enjoy some time off!

Maybe you’re already burnt out from working ON and IN your business. Take some time to relax and recharge. Keep a notebook handy in case you’re hit with some creative inspiration and make a note for later – or don’t and just make some cookies! 🍪

We hope you’re staying safe. We’d love to hear what projects you’re currently working on (and what shows you’re watching. Christina is recommending Gossip Girl 🙋‍♀️). Feel free to send us a message!
